A Bible reading tracker stores your progress through a reading plan so you always know where you are and where you have been.

What Scripture Moment tracks

Reading progress. Scripture Moment tracks your position in your reading plan. When you mark a reading complete, your progress advances to the next passage. When you return after a gap, you see your next reading — not a calendar of missed days.

Reading history. Every completed reading is stored in your history. You can browse your history in reverse order. Each entry shows the reading reference and date completed.

Prayer summaries. The prayer prompt for each reading is stored with the history entry. When you open a history card, you can see the prayer summary that accompanied that reading.

Notes. Notes you write on the reading screen are saved to that history entry. You can review and edit notes from history at any time.

What it does not track

Scripture Moment does not track:

  • Streaks
  • Days in a row
  • Days missed
  • Catch-up readings

This is intentional. The tracker is designed to show you where you are and where you have been — not to make you feel guilty about when you read.

Why progress-based tracking is different

Most Bible reading trackers are date-based. They assign readings to specific calendar dates and track your performance against the schedule. Miss a date and you are “behind.”

Progress-based tracking is different. Your position in the plan advances when you read, not according to a calendar. Gaps do not create a catch-up deficit — they simply pause your progress until you return.

When you come back, you are at the same position you left. One reading away from moving forward.
