What is Scripture Moment?

Scripture Moment is a Scripture reading plan companion for busy Christians who want to keep going without missed-day guilt. It is not a Bible reader or a full Bible app — it is the guide that helps you find your next reading, pray from the passage, and keep a steady rhythm over time.

You do not need to catch up before you come back to Scripture. Start with the next passage. Pray from it. Keep going.

What makes it different?

Most Bible reading apps frame progress around streaks and missed days. When you stop for a week, you come back to a wall of catch-up readings and a broken streak. That guilt often keeps people away longer.

Scripture Moment uses a progress-based model instead. It does not track how many days you have gone in a row or how many you missed. It tracks where you are in the plan and points you to the next passage. Come back after a week, a month, or longer — and you are simply welcomed back to the next reading.

  • Chronological and regular Bible reading plans

  • Prayer prompts based on each passage
  • Bible Gateway passage link shown on the reading screen
  • Reading timer (on by default, can be hidden)
  • Notes on each reading, reviewable and editable from history
  • Morning, afternoon, and evening reminders
  • Reading history with prayer summaries
  • Export of your notes and history
  • Light and dark theme
  • Multilingual app interface, plans, and prayer prompts

What the app does not include

Scripture Moment does not host Bible text. The app stores reading references, prayer prompts, timer and progress data, notes, selected plan/language settings, and optional notification settings. Some display preferences, like reading-screen feature visibility and theme, are stored on the device. You read in your own Bible — on the shelf, in a Bible app you already use, or through the Bible Gateway link shown on the reading screen.

This is intentional. Licensing the full Bible text across multiple translations and languages would add significant cost and complexity. Keeping it as a companion keeps the app focused and free of those constraints.

Language support

Scripture Moment supports multiple languages for the app interface, reading plans, and prayer prompts. Bible Gateway links use a matching version for the selected reading language where available.

Sign-in

The app uses Google Sign-In for authentication. Your reading progress, notes, timer drafts, and reminder settings are stored with your account so they can be restored when you sign in. Some visual preferences remain device-specific.
